Patrick Waravka and Holy Art

Patrick WARAVKA, as a notorious artist, was asked to create the stained-glass windows or models of them for several churches in Normandy, some of which are classified as historic monuments.

The light being preponderant in a stained-glass window, these projects were of higher interest for the light painter artist he is.

Conveying a spiritual message

Christian artist, and proud of it , Patrick WARAVKA wished, in his designs for stained glass, to go beyond a simple, bright decoration and, to the extent possible, convey a spiritual message, as was the purpose of the stained-glass windows of the past.

Using only the color of the glass , without additions or gray paint, unlike the old ways, the artist has given to the composition of his subjects evocative power quite exceptional.
